Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately 9.4 inches (24 cm) in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter mounted 10 feet (3.048 m) high to a backboard at each end of the court), while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. A field goal is worth two points, unless made from behind the three-point line, when it is worth three. After a foul, timed play stops and the player fouled or designated to shoot a technical foul is given one, two or three one-point free throws. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins, but if regulation play expires with the score tied, an additional period of play (overtime) is mandated.

Hockey
Hockey is a term used to denote a family of various types of both summer and winter team sports which originated on either an outdoor field, sheet of ice, or dry floor such as in a gymnasium. While these sports vary in specific rules, numbers of players, apparel, and playing surface, they share broad characteristics of two opposing teams using a stick to propel a ball or disk into a goal.
There are many types of hockey. Some games make the use of skates, either wheeled or bladed, while others do not. In order to help make the distinction between these various games, the word hockey is often preceded by another word i.e. field hockey, ice hockey, roller hockey, rink hockey, or floor hockey.

Handball
It is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins.
Modern handball is played on a court of 40 by 20 metres (131 by 66 ft), with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a 6-metre (20 ft) zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The sport is usually played indoors, but outdoor variants exist in the forms of field handball, Czech handball (which were more common in the past) and beach handball. The game is fast and high-scoring: professional teams now typically score between 20 and 35 goals each, though lower scores were not uncommon until a few decades ago. Body contact is permitted for the defenders trying to stop the attackers from approaching the goal. No protective equipment is mandated, but players may wear soft protective bands, pads and mouth guards.

Badminton
Badminton is a dynamic and competitive racket sport where players aim to hit a shuttlecock across a net into the opponent's half of the court. The game can be played as singles with one player on each side, or doubles with two players on each side. Each match consists of the best of three games, with each game played to 21 points. Players score points by landing the shuttlecock in the opponent's court before it can be returned or if the opponent commits a fault, such as hitting the shuttlecock into the net, out of the court, or failing to return it properly.
The sport requires a blend of physical agility and strategic thinking. Players must possess quick reflexes and excellent hand-eye coordination to volley the shuttlecock back and forth. Badminton is renowned for its swift rallies and the subtle depth of tactical play, where players exploit angles, manage shot placements, and move their opponents around the court in an attempt to create openings. The shuttlecock itself is a feathered or plastic projectile that moves uniquely due to its aerodynamic design, making the game particularly challenging and distinctive among racket sports. This combination of speed, precision, and endurance makes badminton a thrilling sport to play and watch.
